“Incredibly redemptive”: Art exhibition brings stories of struggle, resilience to North Battleford
North Battleford will soon be home to an exhibition that brings together portraits and deeply personal stories of mental health, trauma and other struggles — many of them rarely discussed publicly.
Invisible Winds: Stories You Can Not See, Journeys toward Wholeness, comes to the Chapel Gallery in September, featuring work from about 30 participants.
Curator Dean Bauche said the collection explores a wide range of personal experiences.
“It’s about people’s lives and being able to see their portraits and listen to their stories. It deals with a wide range of issues from things like alcoholism to missing and murdered, ADHD, anxiety disorder, so on and so forth,” he said.
