One dead, four injured in Highway 4 rollover near Mosquito First Nation

A woman is dead and four others were injured following a single-vehicle rollover Thursday morning south of the Battlefords.

Officers were called around 7:10 a.m. to the crash site on Highway 4 near Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation(MGBHLM).

Emergency crews from Wilkie Fire Services, EMS and STARS responded. Police say a 30-year-old woman from near the MGBHLM was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified.

Three of the vehicle’s remaining occupants were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening, while another person was airlifted by STARS with serious injuries.
