One of two suspects facing a murder charge in the death of Mark Douglas Jonson returned to court Tuesday.

Nicolas Buck, 22, was scheduled to appear in North Battleford provincial court via closed-circuit-television for his case to be spoken to.

A preliminary hearing originally scheduled for April 28 did not proceed.

Buck’s case was adjourned to May 6 to be spoken to.

Jonson, 61, was found dead in a home on 15 Ave. and 100 St. in North Battleford on July 5, 2019.

Buck, who remains in custody, is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the case.

The co-accused David Keller, 47, is charged with first-degree murder in Jonson’s death. Keller who remains in custody is scheduled for a pre-trial meeting at Battleford Queen’s Bench Court on June 8.

The allegations against the individuals accused have not been proven in court.
