Erratic driving complaint leads to arrests of two wanted people on Little Pine First Nation

Jul 16, 2026 | 4:45 PM

A report of an erratic driver on Little Pine First Nation led RCMP to two wanted people and a vehicle later confirmed to have been stolen from Alberta after it fled from officers.

Cut Knife RCMP said officers responded to the report on Wednesday and later determined a person wanted by police was believed to be inside the vehicle.

The vehicle fled when officers located it and was later found abandoned in a field behind a house. With help from Police Dog Services and the Critical Incident Response Team, they arrested four people at the residence.

Investigators later determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Minburn, Alta., on July 12.

Now, RCMP charged 27-year-old Kyle Lajimodiere of Cold Lake, Alta., with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of ammunition contrary to an order. He was also arrested on a Correctional Service Canada warrant for breach of parole and appeared in North Battleford provincial court Thursday.

Police also arrested 23-year-old Terri Fox of Sweetgrass First Nation on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on charges of possession of property obtained by crime and failure to stop after an accident. She also appeared in North Battleford provincial court Thursday.

The other two people arrested during the operation were released without charge.

“Cut Knife RCMP continue to investigate, including working to identify the individual who was believed to be driving the vehicle that fled from police.”
