Two Saskatoon men charged in relation to disappearance of Humboldt man

Mar 2, 2020 | 9:52 AM

Two Saskatoon men have been charged following the disappearance of a Humboldt man after human remains were found this morning.

Allan Douglas Garrioch (who also used the surname Glasier), went missing from a residence in Humboldt on Feb. 25.

The disappearance of the 20 year-old man was deemed suspicious by RCMP two days later, when officers reported they believed Garrioch was forced to leave the residence by three unknown males.

After a number of ground searches in the R.M. of Bayne Sunday, human remains were discovered this morning. There will be a continued police presence near the hamlet of Dana, northwest of Bruno, throughout the day.

Tristan Daniel Morrison, 21, has been charged with first degree murder, indignity to a body and other offences including kidnapping while using a firearm, forcible confinement and break and enter and commit.

Joshua Dominic Canevaro, 23, has been charged with kidnapping while using a firearm and forcible confinement among others.

Both men are from Saskatoon and are scheduled to appear in court today in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

A forensic autopsy will be required to confirm the identity of the deceased. The investigation is ongoing.
