North Battleford break-ins more than double, driven by small number of people: RCMP
A small number of people are driving a sharp increase in break-ins across North Battleford, RCMP said, with several properties sometimes targeted in a single night.
Police recorded 119 break-and-enters between April and June, more than double the 57 reported during the same period last year.
Residential break-ins rose from 29 to 56, while those involving businesses increased from 19 to 32. Another 31 occurred at other types of properties, up from nine.
Property offences overall increased eight per cent, from 767 to 830. However, total reported occurrences across all categories remained virtually unchanged at 4,506, compared with 4,488 in the second quarter of 2025.
