A temporary cold spell sweeps across northwest
An end of the weekend cold snap hit the northwest hard but it won’t be staying long.
Much of the northwest saw -20’s and even lower wind chills as temperatures dropped off Sunday and overnight in the Battlefords and Meadow Lake areas.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Dan Kulak said wind chills have been near -40 C, but the temperature will be warming up.
“So that will moderate a bit today as the temperatures do sneak up a little bit. Looking at daytime highs of probably above minus 20 so certainly some recovery is in store.”
