A number of area highways have received funding from the federal and provincial governments for rehabilitation projects.

Over $81 million is set aside for 15 stretches of highway in Saskatchewan, which includes around 24 kilometres of westbound lanes on Highway 16 between Waseca and Marshall, 11 kilometres of eastbound lanes on the same highway between Paynton and Maidstone and approximately 14 kilometres of Highway 4 between North Battleford and Cochin.

Minister of Rural Economic Development Bernadette Jordan said the investment will create safer and more fluid travel for people in Saskatchewan.
