The CEO and president of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation received national recognition today in light of her efforts to improving the health of children and youth in Canada.

Brynn Boback-Lane received the Children’s Healthcare Canada Award for Individual Leadership. The national association enables local improvements and contributes to system-wide change to support children’s healthcare across the country.

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation is a participant and member of Children’s Healthcare Canada.

“As the award recipient, Boback-Lane has exemplified leadership, creativity and initiative to promote positive change and long-term improvement for the heath and well-being of children and youth in Saskatchewan and throughout Canada,” a media release from Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation said.

Boback-Lane received the award this afternoon at the Children’s Healthcare Canada virtual conference.

“I am humbled to accept this award, of which I proudly share with my Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation team. In order to transform healthcare, the benefits of working in partnership within our province and throughout the country ensures positive impact is achieved,” she said. “It will remain a strategic priority that we seek and secure progressive actions that create a healthier future for our children in Saskatchewan and throughout Canada.”

Boback-Lane has been president and CEO of the foundation since 1999. She and her team raised more than $75 million and secured an additional $50 million from donor Jim Pattison to open the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital last year.

The awards program has been running since 2005 and served to recognize leaders and champions within pediatric health.
