Ninth person charged in Laverdiere homicide investigation seeks a bail hearing
The ninth person charged in the Tiki Laverdiere homicide investigation, appearing in North Battleford provincial court Monday, hopes to make an application for a bail hearing in the near future.
Charles St. Savard, 33, from Edmonton is facing charges that include first degree murder in Laverdiere’s death last year.
During St. Savard’s court appearance, COVID-19 precautions were in place in the courthouse and social distancing was enforced.
St. Savard’s charges were originally read as kidnapping and assault causing bodily harm. Crown prosecutor Chris Browne withdrew the assault charge, and replaced it with a charge of first degree murder instead.
