Dale Grayston named new coach of AAA Stars

The Battlefords AAA Stars have named Dale Grayston head coach, the club announced Thursday.
Prior to joining the Stars, Grayston, a Shellbrook product, had spent the last 23 years as head coach of the Beardys Backhawks of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL).
During his tenure with the Blackhawks, Grayston led the team to the league championship and Western Regional Championship in 2001; while also twice being named coach of the year, taking home the distinction in both 2000 and 2019. In addition, he was also the recipient of the Mac’s Tournament Outstanding Coach Award at Calgary’s International Tournament in 1999.
