North Stars Alumni Profile: Martin Smith

In each and every Battlefords North Stars broadcast this season on CJNB/CJNS, Nathan Kanter will be speaking with either a current North Star player or a North Star alumnus to dig a little deeper into their off-ice interests and, in the case of alumni, see what they’ve been up to since their playing days.

This time, we speak with all-time leading scorer Martin Smith, now a regional manager of Access Communications, who took part in the alumni game on Oct. 21.

He shares his fondest memories as a North Star, what kind of player he was, how he thinks the game has changed, and a few interesting facts about himself and his career in Europe.
