City no longer offering pick up service for Christmas trees

Now that the holiday season is over, those with real Christmas trees will have to think about disposing of them.

In both the town and city, there are places to bring old Christmas trees for recycling, free of charge.

In the town of Battleford, residents can bring their tree to the old recycling depot and deposit their trees there, according to John Enns-Wind, Chief Administrative Officer for Battleford.

“They’ll be able to see signs leading them there and that’s just near the old curling rink which is now the archery building and out from the Alex Dillabough Centre,” Enns-Wind said. “It’s fairly easy to get to and we’ll be taking trees till about the middle of January.”
