The developments are set up like your average condominium complex with reasonable yearly fees that will pay for all road maintenance and amenities.

When asked what this development will mean for the nearby Village of Meota, Niedermaier expects it will help the community grow.

“Bringing all these new people into the area is going to be great for local businesses. It’s going to be great for the local economy,” he said. “They’re looking to move more towards recreation and tourism in the area and this is kind of a great step forward for them.”

“The RM of Meota has seen unprecedented growth and development over the past few years and this is another example of growth in the economy of the area. Where our strengths have been in agriculture and oil and gas, we are now seeing an increased focus on tourism and quality of life, with the developments surrounding Jackfish and Murray Lakes,” said Reeve Sherry Jimmy. ‘Such development contributes in many ways to the economy of the municipality and the area. We look forward to working with JTEK Developments and Kadon Industries as they grow and develop this new and unique opportunity in lake living, recreation and tourism.”

JTEK will begin construction this summer and is hopeful it will be finished by 2025. However, lots are available for purchase now and the summer is a perfect time to do so.

“We are extending our pre-development prices right now, so we’re looking to extend those to the end of summer and then we’re going to be repricing lots come the fall,” said Niedermaier. “The best time to be contacting us is during the summer and we’re welcoming people to come out.”
