Suspected car thieves in custody

Two suspects have been taken into custody after being on the run from Maidstone RCMP since Feb. 17.

Kenneth Wayne Curtis and Candace Melissa Harvey were arrested by Barrhead RCMP after they fled from police in a stolen vehicle more than a week ago.  

Each has been charged with multiple counts of possession of stolen property, possession of identity documents, and theft of a motor vehicle.

Over $200,000 worth of stolen equipment has been recovered following their arrests, including seven vehicles, two sport utility vehicles, a camper, a Ski-Doo trailer, and other electronics and antiques.
