Lowest gas prices in Saskatchewan in a decade

Feb 17, 2016 | 5:52 AM

It’s been more than a decade since gas prices have been so low in Saskatchewan.

For several days in Regina and Saskatoon gas prices at most stations were hovering around 65.9 cents/litre – a rare low.

According to Statistic Canada, the last time gas was selling for that little in Regina and Saskatoon, was February 2002 when it was selling for 61.9 cents/litre. A far cry from the 132.9 gas was priced at just two summers ago in June 2014.

But it was all short lived, as of late Tuesday afternoon, several stations started inching up to 74.9 cents/litre.
