Dec 6, 2017 | 11:00 AM

The first of many motion sensor lights was installed by the North Battleford Fire Department yesterday in an effort to reduce preventable crime in the city.

They city has held true on its promise that anyone who joins the Eyes That Care Campaign receive a free motion sensor light for the front of their house. The program’s goal is to ensure people’s homes are lit properly, and to get neighbours acquainted with one another, so they will look out for each other. Administration also followed up on their promise to help with installation if needed.

The first recipient was Sarah Cole and she had nothing but high praise from the campaign.

“It’s a great program that meets a real need in the community,” Cole said.
