Sask. RCMP officer shoots man on northern First Nation
An independent investigation is underway after a Saskatchewan RCMP officer shot a man on a northern First Nation Sunday.
According to a news release Wednesday, local RCMP members received multiple complaints of gunshots in Deschambault Lake First Nation.
While responding, a member of Deschambault Lake detachment fired his weapon.
A man was shot and received medical attention at the local nursing station. RCMP did not say where the man was injured, whether he was armed with a weapon or at what time the shooting happened.
