New digital X-ray machine on the horizon for Wilkie Health Centre

Nov 16, 2018 | 10:29 AM

A new piece of equipment will soon be on the way for the Wilkie Health Centre.

The Town and the Wilkie & District Health Foundation have been approved to purchase a new floor mount X-ray machine by the Saskatchewan Health Authority, dependent on the foundation covering the cost of the machine, as well as any required building improvements.

The project is estimated to cost between $200,000 and $300,000.

The new machine will alleviate the need for patients to travel outside the community for an X-ray while improving patient care.
