‘Everything’s so expensive’: Sask. couple finds creative ways to pay for wedding
With Saskatchewan weddings costing hundreds of dollars per guest, 20-year-old Jasmine Bunnell and her fiancé, 21-year-old Clay Hunter, knew their September wedding would take careful saving.
What they didn’t plan for was a cow kick to the knee that left Bunnell injured, unable to work and searching for another way to keep their wedding plans on track.
“We thought, why don’t we do garage sales, bake sales and bottle drives? We just thought that would be something that could really lift morale; and it really did. And it has helped us a lot,” said the soon-to-be bride.
