North Battleford air cadets recognized for excellence at 85th annual ceremony
For 17-year-old Flight Sgt. Matthew Kim, receiving two of the highest honours at the 43 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron’s 85th annual ceremonial review reflects years of hard work.
Kim received the Top Overall Cadet Trophy, awarded to a cadet who demonstrates consistent excellence, including work ethic and attitude within the program. He also received the Lord Strathcona Medal, the highest award a cadet can earn, recognizing performance in physical training and overall excellence.

“I try my best, and I try to learn. I try to use what I have, and I hope to get those awards because it’s going to help for my future,” Kim said. “It’s proof of my improvement.”
