Man charged after RCMP seize drugs, firearm from motel room in Lloydminster
A 25-year-old Onion Lake man is facing drug and firearms charges after RCMP say cocaine, methamphetamine and a gun with a defaced serial number were seized from a motel room.
Officers with the Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team were conducting patrols April 17 when they spotted a man known to be wanted on a warrant outside a motel on 44th Street.
He fled on foot after being told he was under arrest, but was located a short time later. A small amount of methamphetamine and cocaine was found during the arrest.
RCMP said a subsequent search of a motel room led to the seizure of about 28 grams of cocaine, 32 grams of methamphetamine, a firearm with its serial number removed and ammunition.
