Local Athletes Celebrate National Title
Three athletes from North Battleford are celebrating a national title after helping the Lakeland Rustlers capture the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball National Championship.
Taylor Bugg, Mya Lavallee, and Charlotte Adamcryck were all part of the Rustlers roster that secured the national title, marking the program’s fourth consecutive CCAA championship.
This year’s national tournament was hosted by Providence University College in Niverville, where the Rustlers once again proved themselves as the top women’s college volleyball program in the country.
The three athletes first began their volleyball journeys in the Battlefords with the BVC Volleyball Club. It was there they developed their passion for the sport and built the foundation of the skills that would eventually take them to the collegiate level.
