A snowy Christmas awaits north central Saskatchewan
Drivers heading home for the holidays in north central Saskatchewan will notice decent roads in the Prince Albert to Melfort and North Battleford areas but they won’t be quite as good further north.
Highway Hotline showed black roads in the east to west band but they end slightly north of Prince Albert. Black equals bare and dry on the Highway Hotline website whereas yellow are partly snow covered and pink are snow covered but still drivable.
Big River and Montreal Lake roads are pink but most other communities such as Meadow Lake, Montreal Lake and east to Tobin Lake and highways north and east of Nipawin are only partially covered by snow.
Travellers on Highway 2 from Christopher Lake to La Ronge and communities further north will all see some snow on the roads, but not that much.
