Man charged after cocaine, meth seized in Loon Lake traffic stop
A traffic stop south of Loon Lake led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine and evidence of drug trafficking on Feb. 18 , the RCMP said.
Officers pulled over a vehicle on Highway 26, about 20 kilometres south of the community, around 2:30 p.m. Mounties noticed signs of drug trafficking and arrested the driver and three passengers — one woman and three men.
A search of the vehicle turned up 184 grams of cocaine, 34 grams of methamphetamine, a baton, about $1,300 in cash and other items linked to drug trafficking.
After further investigation, a 29-year-old man, from Onion Lake, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
