Teen charged after firearms, drugs seized in Lloydminster

An 18-year-old man is in police custody after guns and drugs were found at home in Lloydminster.
Officers from Lloydminster RCMP and Police Dog Service executed a search warrant at a residence on 49 Avenue as part of a firearms trafficking investigation. There, police seized a shotgun and magazine, along with a small quantity of methamphetamine and unstamped tobacco.
Following their investigation, Zach Gayton of Lloydminster was arrested and charged with weapons trafficking, unsafe storage of firearms, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, and poessesing a forged document.
He is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on Wednesday.
