Oct 22, 2024 | 8:50 AM

Six days, or 56 hours, of voting begins at 10 a.m. this Tuesday, October 22 at 303 early voting locations around the province.

Voting Week runs from October 22 to 28.

For the first 5 days of Voting Week, these 303 early voting locations are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On the final day of voting, Monday, October 28, an additional 413 locations will be added for a total of 716 voting locations.

In addition to these regular voting locations, there will be voting at 369 Personal Care Facilities (PCF) during the first five days of voting, and at 68 hospitals or remand centres on October 28.

“This election we offered the other voting opportunities of vote by mail and homebound voting, but the application deadlines for both of these was this past Saturday,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “So, at this stage of the election period, the remaining option for casting a ballot is in person at one of the voting locations in the province. Our roughly 5,000 election workers are trained and ready to serve our province’s 800,000+ eligible voters.”

Any Canadian citizen who is at least 18 years old by October 28, 2024, and ordinarily a Saskatchewan resident is eligible to vote. You must show ID at voting locations that shows your name and address before you can receive a ballot. The complete list of acceptable ID is found at www.elections.sk.ca/id.

Voter information cards were either mailed through Canada Post, emailed or sent by SMS text to registered voters over the past two weeks. This card lists the options for voting locations, dates and times. October 19 was the deadline for early voter registration. Going into Voting Week there are 810,683 registered voters in Saskatchewan. If an eligible voter is not registered, they can register at the time they show up in person to vote.

Voters can also easily find out where to vote using our online search tool at www.elections.sk.ca/wdiv. They simply need to type in their address.
