Sask Party’s Colleen Young seeks re-election in Lloydminster

Oct 3, 2024 | 1:00 PM

Since first being elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 2014 for the constituency of Lloydminster, one of the most important things for Saskatchewan Party candidate Colleen Young has been helping and addressing the community’s needs.

After being re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial general elections, she wants to continue to do the same with her candidacy in 2024.

Born and raised on a farm east of Saskatoon, Young has made Lloydminster her home for the past 37 years. From attending the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan in 1979, to being the board chair for the Lloydminster Public School Board of Education for 16 years, to then being appointed the Minister of Advanced Education in 2024, education has always been a huge priority for Young.

Throughout her career, she has also been very active in the community, being a part of the Prairie North Regional Health Board, the Lloydminster Early Intervention Program, the Lloydminster Community Youth Center and she started and operated the Lloydminster in Motion After School Program. These are just some of the many organizations Young has been involved in.
