A man was taken to hospital following what Pierceland RCMP called a “serious assault” on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
The incident happened on Tuesday and a 35-year-old woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The investigation is ongoing between Pierceland RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section.
The woman was scheduled to appear in a Saskatchewan Provincial Courtroom in Meadow Lake on Thursday.
