Unity RCMP seek public help locating wanted 30-year-old man

Unity RCMP are asking the public to report sightings and information regarding the whereabouts of a 30-year-old man.

On Aug. 17 at about 12:40 p.m., RCMP officers saw a man they knew to be an unauthorized driver get into the driver’s seat of a vehicle in Unity.

Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle eventually collided with a building, and the man fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Ricky Vidnes is wanted on a warrant by Unity RCMP on charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle and failure to comply.
