Vehicle stolen in armed robbery in North Battleford

Police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen in an armed robbery in North Battleford Friday morning.

Battlefords RCMP received a report of a robbery on the 900 block of 109 Street at about 7 a.m.

After investigating, police determined an individual was in their parked vehicle when an unknown man, armed with a machete, approached and then assaulted them, demanding their keys. The victim, who reported non-life-threatening injuries to police, was able to flee to safety.

The suspect left in the vehicle and was last seen driving southbound on 109 Street.

He’s described as having a thin build and was wearing a mask and possibly a red hoodie. He was last seen driving a black 2019 Jeep Cherokee with Saskatchewan licence plate 167 MII.
