North Stars’ rookies reflect on first goal milestones
There are few milestones more memorable in the career of a hockey player than scoring their first goal, and for the Battlefords North Stars, five players have done just that, tallying the first of their junior careers over the first half of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.
In the spirit of the holiday season, widely renowned as a time of reflection, battlefordsNOW caught up with the five North Stars’ rookies to tally their first in the SJHL, to share their thoughts on what they remember, and what stands out from the milestone occasion.
Brayden Sinclair – Sept. 23, 2023
It took just two games into his SJHL career for North Stars’ forward, Brayden Sinclair to find the back of the net, scoring his first early in the third period of a North Stars’ comeback bid fallen just short, as the Battlefords’ second goal in a 5-3 loss to the Kindersley Klippers, opening weekend.
