P.A. police officer charged with assault

One Prince Albert Police officer is facing three charges of assault stemming from two separate incidents in July 2022

Cst. Dillon Husky will make his first court appearance in Provincial Court on Oct. 26.

Last year, the Prince Albert Police Service asked for the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) to investigate Husky’s conduct from the incidents on July 1 and July 16.

Husky was recruited to the police force in mid-2019 and has been assigned to administrative duties during the court proceedings.

The police service made the request on a week after the second incident at which point the PCC began its investigation and found charges were warranted.
