Jun 8, 2023 | 4:48 PM

North Battleford RCMP have arrested two people who allegedly stole multiple vehicles over a two week period.

On April 24th, a vehicle was stolen in the community, while a second vehicle was taken from a business on Highway 16 on May 11th. Police didn’t believe the cases were related, however, on May 12th both were found at a home in North Battleford.

A few days later, RCMP received a report of a stolen Bobcat skid steer from a business in the community.

On Wednesday, officers searched a home on 110 Street in North Battleford. There they found the stolen skid steer along with multiple pieces of commercial-grade electronic tools and equipment.

As a result, Kyle Mccaw, 43, and Trebor Swindler, 47, were arrested. Police believe they were responsible for the two previously stolen vehicles.

Mccaw has been charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a weapon contrary to an order.

Swindler is facing two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Both have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in a North Battleford courtroom on June 12th.
