Sask. First Nations designer a finalist in ‘Tales of Triumph’ contest
A Saskatchewan business owner said she’s grateful to be among the finalists in a contest that supports small businesses across the country.
Kaila LeFort is a member of Muskoday First Nation who currently lives in Meadow Lake. She is the owner of Mahikan Designs which specializes in Indigenous beaded jewelry.
When she found out she was named one of the 15 finalists for the Tales to Triumph contest by Canada Post, she couldn’t believe it.
“When I got the confirmation e-mail from Canada Post confirming that I progressed to the finalist panel. I guess you could describe my feelings as pure joy and gratitude,” she said.
