Huskies alumni ready for historic pre-season return to Griffiths Stadium with Riders
Even though Nick Wiebe still calls himself a proud Albertan, the province of Saskatchewan has been home to the linebacker for the last five years.
He spent the first three in Saskatoon with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, before heading south to Regina in 2024 to turn professional with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
“My dad always says I’m kind of an adopted son of Saskatchewan at this point,” Wiebe said.
“I always take a lot of pride in that. I love the province, I love the people here. I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’d love to spend the next 10 years here too.”
