The Northern Tornadoes Project says Canada’s first twister of 2023 touched down south of Regina.
The project, which operates out of Western University in London, Ont., said the tornado was part of the storm that battered the Queen City and surrounding area on Saturday.
“Photos/video provided sufficient evidence to confirm,” the Northern Tornadoes Project said in a tweet. “The tornado damaged a farm near Rowatt.”
The tweet added that a team from the project was to conduct a damage survey Monday.
