Sinkhole opens up in North Battleford after water main break

The City of North Battleford’s Operations Department is advising the public of a potential hazard after a sinkhole formed near the Ecole Monseigneur Blaise Morand.

The sinkhole formed on the north side of 16^th Avenue following a water main break overnight.

The city said the sinkhole is marked with several barricades and cones. It will be lit at nightfall. The road is open at this time and the sinkhole is not impacting sidewalks.

The city said to stay safe, do not breach the perimeter formed by the barricades. The staff will be on site to perform repairs tomorrow, May 11.
