Shots Fired From Stolen Car

RCMP investigating after shots fired into La Plonge home

Mar 6, 2023 | 5:53 PM

Beauval RCMP are looking for information or witnesses after someone shot into an occupied house on La Plonge First Nation.

According to police, at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, a white car with a green tarp covering one of the windows approached a home. The occupants discharged a firearm at the windows of the home, which was occupied at the time. No injuries were reported.

Officers from Beauval and nearby detachments started a search for the vehicle, which they determined was reported stolen from Prince Albert.

Later that evening, officers found the car, abandoned and burnt, south of Prince Albert.

Police said they don’t believe the incident is random, but if there is an elevated risk to community safety, Beauval RCMP will alert the public.

Anyone who witnessed or has information about this incident should call Beauval RCMP at 306-288-6400. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
