RCMP arrest man with knife after he stabs detachment windows

Battlefords RCMP have arrested and charged one man after his request for a ride turned violent.

Around 11:15 a.m. last Tuesday, the man approached the front desk staff of the detachment where he requested a ride to Lloydminster.

After the employees explained they were unable to fulfill that request, the man left the building and proceeded to stab the windows of the detachment with a knife.

Officers arrested the man. No injuries were reported and the windows of the building received minor damage.

The man was charged with mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with a probation order.
