North Stars to hold AGM Monday

The Battlefords North Stars will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this evening (Monday) at the Gold Eagle Lodge in North Battleford.

Taking place at 7 p.m., the meeting will feature an annual report looking back at the past year, and a report detailing the team’s financial outlook, among the items on the agenda.

There will also be a chance for those in attendance to nominate themselves or others for the board and other volunteer positions with the team for the coming year.

“Anyone in the public who wants to see what we’ve been up to, what we’re looking at for the future, or if they’d like to join the board and be a part of how our North Stars’ organization is run, this is the perfect opportunity to check in and see what we’re doing,” Marketing and Office Manager with the Stars, Kennedy Schmidt said.

Head Coach and General Manager, Brayden Klimosko added that in addition to board positions, the team is always looking for volunteers to help out as well, for events, game-day preparation, and more.

“We’re always looking for a couple more helpers in a number of areas, so even for those who may want to lend a hand, but maybe not take on a board spot, it’s still a good time to come down and ask some questions about how they can get involved,” Klimosko said.
