Two of accused in Moosomin homicide investigation have cases adjourned

Two of the accused individuals facing charges related to the Damian Moosomin homicide investigation had their cases adjourned in North Battleford provincial court Wednesday.

Stormy Wapass-Semaganis, facing a charge of first degree murder and is seeking to be released on bail. She is scheduled for a bail hearing at Queen’s Bench Court on June 14.

Wapass-Semaganis will return to North Battleford court Sept. 24, or before that depending on the outcome of her bail application.

Defence lawyer Bill Archer noted that his client is waiting for more disclosure, which is still “in its infancy stages” at this point.

Accused Denver Roy, charged with Accessory after the Fact, is being remanded for a 30-day assessment at Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford.

Roy is scheduled to return to court August 9 at 11 a.m. by CCTV.

Moosomin was found deceased at a North Battleford property May 16, 2020 after previously being reported missing.

The allegations against the accused individuals have not been proven in court.
