North Battleford fixing water main breaks following flushing
The City of North Battleford is working to fix water main breaks in the Riverview neighborhood that occurred during the overnight flushing on May 11.
According to administration, a technical problem indirectly related to flushing activities was the cause for the breaks. City workers and local contractors are at work on the repairs, hoping to return regular water services to residents as soon as possible.
Signs stating “WATER MAIN FLUSHING” will indicate which blocks have been affected. Residents in the affected areas can continue with normal water use until 7:00 p.m. that evening, where the flushing will run until 7:00 a.m. In some of these cases, the flushing process may take multiple nights.
