A 42-year-old woman from Prince Albert has now joined the list of people charged in connection to last year’s death of Dylan Chretien.

Christy Roy is facing a charge of second degree murder. She appeared by phone for her first court appearance Friday morning.

Chretien’s remains were found outside city limits on Dec. 4, 2019. His death was later determined to be the result of foul play.

Earlier this week, Brandon Daniels and Max Moostoos were charged with accessory to murder after the fact. According to information read in court, it’s alleged the two men assisted with Roy’s escape.

Police have also charged Brandon Smith, 33, with second-degree murder in connection with Chretien’s death. Smith has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Chretien was last seen in Prince Albert on Oct. 27, 2019. The truck he was driving, a blue Toyota Tundra, was later found abandoned in the Nordale area on Nov. 1, 2019.

His mother told paNOW Chretien went to Prince Albert to give a friend a ride. Chretien’s plan, she said, was to pick up the friend’s boyfriend and travel to Lloydminster.
