Battlefords RCMP laid charges following the arrests of two men, who fled law enforcement early Tuesday morning following a report of gunfire.

Korbin Gladue, 18-year-old man from North Battleford, faces 15 Criminal Code charges, including nine firearms charges, five weapons possession charges, and one charge of failing to stop for a police officer.

In addition, Gladue was also charged with 16 more offences for another shooting that occurred in August of 2019. These charges include seven firearm charges, six weapons possession charges, escaping custody, failing to attend court, and wearing a disguise while committing an offence.

Charles McLean, 23-year-old of North Battleford, received two firearms charges and two weapons charges.

RCMP were in search of the two men after a report of shots outside a hotel early Tuesday. When confronted, they fled police and were pursued in vehicles and on foot before their arrest. At the time of yesterday’s report, RCMP believed the incident had direct ties to drug trafficking.

This investigation is continuing.
