Town won’t disconnect water services during COVID-19 State of Emergency
Battleford residents will appreciate knowing the town is considering the current state of affairs with COVID-19 related issues and hopes to make it easier for those who may be dealing with financial challenges at this time.
The Town of Battleford announced it will not disconnect water services during the Government of Saskatchewan’s State of Emergency.
The town said it plans to mail or e-mail residents’ utility bills at the end of April.
CAO John Enns-Wind said in a statement all utility accounts must be brought up to current status after the State of Emergency or residents must establish a payment plan to clear the amount in arrears. Information on the town’s Water Installments Payment Plan (WIPPS) is available on the town’s website.
