Shorthanded Stars fall 6-1 in Humboldt to close season-series with Broncos
The Battlefords North Stars fell 6-1 to the Broncos in Humboldt Wednesday, in the final matchup of the season-series between the two sides.
Reid Arnold led the way for the Broncos with a two-goal outing, while Logan Kurki added a pair of points and Braiden Koran, Cody Hough and Logan Foster added a marker each as well while Michael Harroch stopped 21-of-22 Stars’ shots for the win.
Ryland McNinch scored the lone goal for the North Stars in the defeat, while Austin Schwab made 54 saves on 60 shots-against.
Four North Stars made their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) debut during the night’s contest, including Holden Doell, who picked up the primary assist on McNinch’s fifth of the season, for his first career SJHL point.
