Attempted armed robbery in Macklin

The Macklin RCMP are looking for a man after an attempted robbery early this morning.

According to a media release from RCMP, soon after midnight a man arrived at the Macklin Hotel/Bar demanding money. He was armed with a long gun, but the bar employee managed to escape and lock herself in a back room.

The suspect left without any money and at this time police are unsure if he left on foot or in a vehicle.

The man is described as five feet eight inches tall, slim build, wearing black clothing and a mask covering his face.
