Jan 4, 2020 | 2:40 PM

At 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning Battlefords RCMP received a complaint of an armed robbery at a business on the 1700 block of 100th St.

A lone man entered the business brandishing a weapon, threatened the employee and demanded cash. Once the suspect obtained the money, he fled the business, running west across 100th St. towards 99th St., continuing west until he was out of view.

The suspect is described as being tall and thin. He was wearing a black short sleeved jacket with a grey hoodie underneath, black jeans and black shoes.

Battlefords RCMP are asking businesses and community members with video surveillance to check their systems between the hours to 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on Saturday to see if they may have captured the subject on camera. This information can be used to help identify him.
