MONTREAL — The 45-year-old man arrested for allegedly robbing a bank in Montreal last week was arraigned on 15 counts Tuesday.

The charges against Alain Sainte-Marie include conspiracy, robbery and using a fake gun to commit a crime.

Sainte-Marie and Genevieve Dallaire, 35, allegedly robbed a bank Friday morning before their getaway car collided with another vehicle a few streets from the scene.

Dallaire was arrested on the spot but the second suspect fled on foot, triggering a lengthy chase around the streets of Montreal’s Outremont neighbourhood.

Police said Sainte-Marie was caught at around midnight Tuesday.

Dallaire was arraigned on the weekend and charged with robbery.

The two are due back in court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
